By selecting Adelaide Fringe you ensure that your contribution will go towards the establishment of a biodiversity planting in South Australia using native species.
How will the Fringe Forest work?
Trees For Life is forming a partnership with the Adelaide Fringe that will see the establishment of the Fringe Forest, funded through donations made by Fringe goers at various collection points throughout the Fringe.
The Forest will cover an area of more than 7 hectares and will be revegetated using local native species, resulting in approximately 700 tonnes of CO2 being extracted from the atmosphere over the life of the trees. These trees and shrubs will provide habitat for native species, help prevent soil erosion and salinity and improve water quality in our catchment regions. All carbon plantings are conducted according to the regulations from the 1997 Kyoto Protocol, and are guaranteed for 100 years.
