Fringe to visit Adelaide public hospitals
5/03/2008
The world’s second largest Fringe will visit Adelaide’s hospitals as a result of a unique partnership between SA Lotteries and the Adelaide Fringe.
As the profits from SA Lotteries’ games are distributed to State hospitals, Chief Executive June Roache is pleased that the organisation can also bring the fun and entertainment of the Fringe into hospitals for those not well enough to attend shows
“Our partnership with the Adelaide Fringe is the perfect complement to SA Lotteries’ returns of approximately $1.6 million each week to South Australia’s hospitals,” Ms Roache said.
With the support of SA Lotteries Adelaide Fringe comedian Justin Hamilton will give four performances at local hospitals.
Justin Hamilton has a knack for delivering highly intelligent true stories and adding a surreal twist. It’s hard to tell where the truth and fiction collide when he’s talking about superheroes, airports, politics or hospital wards.
