No other Fringe in the world does Family Fringing quite like Adelaide Fringe.
Fringe Family Weekend takes some of the world’s best contemporary art and culture and customises it for families. Parents, brothers, sisters, grandmas, grandpas, aunties and uncles are invited to participate in a shared experience of culture and the arts in the stunning surrounds of Adelaide’s parklands.

Rymill Park will be toddler and parent friendly, with room to run, pram parking and a Baby Day Spa, yes a Baby Day Spa will be situated in a Yurt (Mongolian Tent) and has been designed to be a luxurious chill out space for babies and their parents. It’s a small tent so get there early and enjoy!
The weekend long music program will explore Bollywood, Hip Hop, Electronica, African Beats and Dance Music, Classical, Rock and Percussion. Most of the musical action will happen on The Evolving Ear Stage kicking off at 10am each morning with an hour-long Baby Beats session with DJ Trip spinning records for babies and parents.
Do you have any favourite family records? Vinyl Mama Vinyl Dadda encourages everyone to bring along music that their family loves. MC Finegan Kruckemeyer will spin your families track for everyone to dance to. On Saturday night Pixels in the Park transforms the main stage into a cinema under the trees showcasing the best new animation from festivals around the world.
Everyone’s going to love Get In and Get Dirty Workshops dedicated to hands on arts and culture for children, parents and friends to indulge in together. Highlights include Kindermusik, Da Klinic, Cirkidz, Little Big Book Club and Puppet Palace. There will also be a chance to get involved in a Guinness Book of Records attempt to make a million puppets!
The Buskers will be out of the mall and in the park and on Sunday between 5pm and 6pm all the artists from the Adelaide International Buskers Festival will give one final performance for the crowds before the People’s Choice Award for Adelaide’s favourite Busker is announced (Sunday 5pm).
An entire weekend spent celebrating art and culture is bound to get everyone a wee bit gastronomically peckish. There will be a selection excellent local food stalls catering for everyone’s every whim. There will also be a licensed Monkey Bar where parents can purchase a much needed refreshing drink.
