Escape the monotony of the mainstream and explore the alternative at Format, a celebration of words in any format at Fringe Factory Theatre.

Swap, sell and celebrate Zines on Saturday 15 March at the Zine, DIY and Art Fair, drop by between 12noon and 5pm and discover small circulation non-commercial publications.

Format is a weekend of ‘off radar’ activities, that will reignite the free thinker within. The Academy of DIY begins at 12noon on Sunday 16 March, enjoy a day of independent art, creativity, and green living.

On Sunday, DIY workshops will be held on self publishing, blogging, alternative photo developing, making wallets from milk cartons and bicycle maintenance.

Learn how to grow your own organic foods, at Lo-Fi Urban Food Growing. Discover an economic solution to home decorating at Treasures in the Trash. Get hooked on Knitting at Fibre Frenzy: mending and crafting for beginners (and the already enthusiastic).

Don’t know how to make a wallet out of soy milk cartons? This is your chance to learn! Rebel against soulless commercialized products, do it yourself and create one of a kind with passion and love!
