International Artists
We know that putting together a show for the Fringe can be a challenge, but when you're on the other side of the world, can't see any the venues, have never been to Australia and might not be able to speak the language, then you're going to need some help!
The Artist Services Team is here to assist international artists in any way we can. Be it sourcing a volunteer translator, helping with international visa assistance, providing you with all the information you can take on accommodation and helpful services in Adelaide, we've got the lot!
Visa Assistance
Non-resident artists or companies intending to enter and perform or exhibit in Australia as part of Adelaide Fringe 2010 will need to apply for an Entertainment Visa in order to perform. This can be done when you register your event in FERS. All Visa applications will need to be returned to the Fringe by December 2009.
Please note: If you plan on holidaying in Australia either before or after your event you will need to let us know in advance as there may be additonal visa requirements for you complete.
If you have any queries regarding international visas please contact Brett McCallum, Artist Services Manager at brett@adelaidefringe.com.au or +61 8 8100 2050.
Taxation Issues
Non-resident artists who earn income through their event in Adelaide Fringe 2010 will need to be aware of their obligations under Australian taxation law, as it applies to them. The Adelaide Fringe can assist international artists with their ABN application so that they have an ABN in time for Adelaide Fringe 2010. Please contact Mirella Innocente, Finance Manager for further information and advice on mirella@adelaidefringe.com.au or on +61 8 8100 2014.
