Discount Directory
Every year, more than 3000 artists descend on our city to take part in the annual Adelaide Fringe. One-third of these artists are from overseas and interstate. For some it’s coming back to a city they have grown to love, for others it’s their first introduction to Adelaide and Australia.
As a service to artists, the Adelaide Fringe produces a Discount Directory, which aims to provide a list of business and services they may require during their stay, or to simply point them in the right direction for a relaxing afternoon and somewhere to share a meal and a drink with fellow artists.
To be able to provide this service, the Adelaide Fringe calls on the support of local businesses to show their appreciation not just to the artists, but also to the staff and volunteers that make the Fringe the extraordinary event that it is.
With this in mind, we invite your business to be a part of this directory and advertise your business to thousands in the process.
How does the directory work?
Each listing will include details of the discount as well as some information on the business, including a description, hours of opening, contact details etc. This is free of charge to you.
Fringe artists, staff and volunteers are issued with an official Adelaide Fringe 2012 Pass which must be presented in order to redeem any discount offered in the directory.
What do you offer?
There are no set guidelines as to what to offer, however to assist we have provided some examples from businesses in 2011:
Retail – 10%- 20% discount off goods;
Bars, Hotels and Nightclubs – 2-for-1 drinks, discounted beer and wine, specials for jugs of beer, beer & meal deals;
Restaurant & Cafes – 20% discount off total bill, fixed discounted price for meals & refreshments.
Recreational – Discounted entry/tickets, & 2-for-1 specials;
Health, Beauty & Relaxation – Package specials, discounts on standard rates.
