Adelaide Fringe Guides Hit the Streets

Mon, Dec 19 2022
The Adelaide Fringe 2023 Official Fringe Guide is hitting the streets before Christmas for the first time ever! Jam-packed with more than 1200 shows, the guide is available at Foodland stores across South Australia from today and selected BankSA branches later this week. The eye-catching publication features the 2023 winning poster design on the cover, Fleurs de Fringe, by artist and designer Alana Naylor.

Categorised by genre, the Official Fringe Guide is designed to be easy-to-use to help Fringe-goers plan their Fringe season. Shows are spread across venues all over the state so audiences are encouraged to venture outside of the metropolitan region to see something different, something they’d never normally get to experience. Tickets to all Fringe events are on sale now and can be easily purchased by scanning the QR code on each event listing within the guide.

Adelaide Fringe Director and CEO Heather Croall said, “The guide hitting the streets is an exciting time of the year for us at Fringe. Thank you to Major Partner Foodland for distributing the guides to all 94 stores and to our Principal Partner BankSA for their ongoing support”.

“If you visit a Foodland store, you’ll also be able to buy a reusable Adelaide Fringe tote bag for your groceries, printed with the stunning Fleurs de Fringe artwork. Part proceeds of these bags will be donated to the Adelaide Fringe Foundation thanks to Foodland”, said Heather.

The 2023 program sees a 14% increase on the number of shows last year, with the number of international artists returning to pre-COVID levels.

If you live outside of South Australia but still want a physical copy of the guide, you can order one online via adelaidefringe.com.au/merch for the price of postage. Alternatively you can access a digital copy of the guide and purchase tickets online. From early January, the guide will then be further distributed in cafes, hotels, libraries and community centres across the state and in the Melbourne and Sydney CBD’s.

Registrations to participate in Adelaide Fringe are still open though the official program has now been announced. Tickets are on sale at www.adelaidefringe.com.au
