SEARCHING FOR A SHOW

What’s the best way to search for a show?

You can search using the event title/artist name, the venue, the date, ticket type or the art-form (cabaret, circus, dance etc). You can include details in multiple fields to refine your search.

There are so many shows, can you recommend some?

Adelaide Fringe is a non-curated, open-access festival. In order to uphold our open-access nature, we must represent all artists, presenters and venues equally, and cannot recommend specific shows over others. We do have a few suggestions below:
• BankSA’s TalkFringe.com helps you check out what other punters have to say about shows. Add your own reviews, enter competitions and find out about special ticket offers at talkfringe.com.au
• Check out Fringe in the Mall activities and promotions
• Look out for critics reviews in The Advertiser, adelaidenow.com.au and in Rip It Up
• Take a punt! Adelaide Fringe is about discovering the unexpected!

How can I check the age suitability of a show so that I can take my children?

We will do our best to provide you with warnings about show content and age suitability, where the artist or presenter has passed that information onto us. Artists self-rate their shows, and as we are an open access festival, we can’t guarantee the content and suitability. Please use your discretion when determining suitability for your child. Events are rated as:
• CH (12 years and under)
• GA (suitable for all ages)
• PG (Parental Guidance Recommended for under 15 years)
• 18+ (Restricted to 18 years and older)

TICKETS – Frequently Asked Questions

How do I know if I’m entitled to a concession?

If you have a valid Government issued concession card (pension, healthcare, unemployed) or Fringe Benefits membership, you may be entitled to a concession (in accordance with prices set by the event organiser/artist). For a full list of ticket types and explanations, click TICKET TYPES EXPLAINED.

What is the service fee on FringeTIX® tickets?

All ticketing fees and charges are inclusive in the advertised price. What you see is what you pay!

How do I find out more information about a venue, like whether it’s wheelchair accessible?

Have a look at our website (adelaidefringe.com.au) and search for the venue you are looking for. The venue listing will give full information about the venue location and address, as well as accessibility. For further information and if you require specific disability access seating, please call FringeTIX® on 1300 621 255 or visit FringeTIX® Rundle Mall or FringeTIX® East End. Please note disability access seating cannot be purchased online.

I can’t attend the show any more, can I have a refund?

No – as per the Terms and Conditions of sale, tickets are not exchangeable or refundable. Please find Terms and Conditions of sale here.

I lost my tickets/never received them in the post, can you replace them?

Please contact FringeTIX® on 1300 621 255 as soon as possible. We do not reprint lost/stolen/misplaced tickets, but will make a note against your booking. You’ll then need to go directly to the venue with proof of your purchase (email confirmation) where the venue may admit you (at their discretion).

Why do you ask for so much information when I’m just buying a ticket?

The more information you provide us with, the better we can find you in case there’s a change to your event, or you have an enquiry about your order and need to contact us. For any transaction using your credit card (when you call FringeTIX® or make a booking through any of our outlets), we require the billing address of the credit card holder. If you don’t want to provide us with your information, you may be able to purchase tickets with cash on the day of the performance at the venue, subject to availability. For more thorough information on what happens to your personal information and why we may collect it, please click here (add link) to view the Adelaide Fringe’s privacy policy.

The show I was going to see has been cancelled, will I get a refund?

Yes, if permitted by the event organiser. Refunds for tickets purchased by credit card will be refunded to that credit card, and tickets purchased by cash or cheque will be refunded by cash/cheque .

Do I get an email confirmation of my purchase?

Yes, if you book online and provide a valid email address. If you book over the phone (FringeTIX® 1300 621 255) or at any FringeTIX® outlet, you can also request an email confirmation.

I saw some Adelaide Fringe tickets on e-Bay, is it safe to buy them?

Only buy tickets through an authorised FringeTIX® outlet, over the phone on 1300 621 255 or at adelaidefringe.com.au. Beware of forged or fraudulently acquired tickets. If you buy a counterfeit or forged ticket, you may be liable for prosecution. Tickets might be being resold or offered for resale at a premium price – this is called scalping. Ticket scalping is illegal.

How will you notify me about changes to a show I’ve booked?

Depending on what information you’ve given us, we’ll send you an SMS as soon as we have the information or an email/phone call if your show is a few days away.

I can’t browse on my mobile device, is there a problem with the site or is it my phone?

It’s probably just a glitch and we’ll have everything back up and running very soon. In the meantime, please call FringeTIX® on 1300 621 255 who may be able to assist with your booking and/or enquiry. To assist us in identifying and resolving problems please email buzz@adelaidefringe.com.au with the details of the problem you experienced – including, what make and model your mobile device is, what software version you are running, what you were doing at the time of the problem, and any screenshots you were able to capture.

I need to pay for my purchase using more than one voucher or credit card, can I do this on the mobile site or iPhone app?

At this stage split payments can only be made on the full website (www.adelaidefringe.com.au), in person at a FringeTIX® outlet or over the phone on 1300 621 255.

My session timed out, but I need to buy lots of tickets – help!

Your session will time out after 36 minutes so you may need to book your tickets in a couple of transactions. We suggest you use the Internode Fringe Favourites tool to save a short list of your tickets while you are finding the shows you want, and then add them to your cart at the end (or save them using the login feature to return at a later date). Alternatively, if you know the shows, dates, times and number of people attending, call FringeTIX® on 1300 621 255 or visit one of our outlets, and we’ll be able to assist you with the purchase.

I entered my payment details and nothing happened, how do I know if I’ve been charged or my tickets have been booked?

Please call FringeTIX® on 1300 621 255 as soon as you can and we will check if your payment has been processed and your tickets booked. Please don’t attempt to purchase again, as it may result in a double charge to your credit card.

What does allocation exhausted mean?

Allocation exhausted means the show has sold out, or that the ticket type you have selected is no longer available. Must have been a popular choice! Don’t worry there are plenty of others for you to see.

What does non-consecutive seating mean?

Non-consecutive seating applies to any venue that has allocated (reserved) seating. If all consecutive (seats together) seating has sold out, select ‘yes’ when prompted, to see if non-consecutive (single) seats are available. Alternatively, call FringeTIX on 1300 621 255 to speak with a FringeTIX operator.

Voucher Use

Why am I asked for a password when purchasing or redeeming a voucher?

A password is nominated for a voucher at the time of purchase. This ensures no one but the intended recipient can use it. To use the voucher, the recipient must have the password along with the voucher number when booking whether it be on the internet, phone or in person at the box office.

To redeem your voucher online, please ensure you are entering the full voucher number including the hyphen, as well as your unique password.

If you have lost or forgotten your password contact FringeVoucher@adelaidefringe.com.au

How do I make split payments?

Split payments can be made with multiple vouchers or a voucher and credit card.

Click the SPLIT PAYMENT button

Select voucher

Type in the amount of your first voucher in the “amount to pay” box, then enter the voucher number (including hyphen) and password (case sensitive). Click Redeem Voucher.

The “amount to pay” box will then prompt you on the outstanding amount, repeat the process with your next voucher. If there are no more vouchers to use and an amount is still outstanding, click the credit card option (while still in the Split Payment mode). Enter the entire card number, cardholder name, expiry date and 3 digit security code and then Authorize payment.

Order will be complete once all funds owed are complete.
