Marketing Support

We market the Fringe as a whole, and you (with a bit of help from us!) market your individual event.
With some 400-odd expected shows, the Fringe certainly creates a huge buzz, which means you're going to need to do something to stand out from the crowd (and indeed attract a crowd). All registered events automatically get a listing in our Fringe Guide and on our FringeTIX website but as a Fringe artist you will also need to come up with your own promotional and marketing strategies. This could include posters and flyers to ticket give aways and attention seeking inventive stunts (so long as they're within the law!)

All registered artists will have access to download the Adelaide Fringe 2009 Marketing and Media Guide and Media Contacts List. These guides have lots of hints to get your campaign started. Other marketing benefits for registered artists include:

  • Event listing in the Fringe Guide
  • Event listing, image and a link to your website on the Adelaide Fringe 2009 website (and this includes Visual Artists!)
  • Discounted advertising rates in the Fringe Guide (until sold out)
  • Inclusion in the Daily Diary in our local newspaper, The Advertiser
  • Artist information sessions (held in Adelaide) on how to publicise and market your event
  • Access to Fringe-generated marketing initiatives

Online Media Access
Registered artists also have the opportunity to upload an online media kit which accredited members of the media will be able to log in and access once tickets go on sale. Your kit may contain media releases, biographies and any additional images that you upload when registering with FERS.
