Novatech Creative Event Technology’s involvement in the Fringe Parade will see the western side of King William Street light up on 24 February.

Novatech have used 3D mapping techniques to create a three-dimensional animation to be projected onto the BankSA building during a sequence set to be a highlight of Fringe opening night celebrations.

It has taken a team of 24 people nearly seven months to bring the project to fruition, says Novatech’s Managing Director Leko Novakovic.

“We’ve had a lighting designer, an audio designer, a video projectionist, and a technical director all working on it, with 20 plus guys involved in getting it all out onto the street,” said Mr Novakovic.
“One of the buildings we’re projecting onto has a surface area of 1000 square metres. That we’ve got the technology to do that is very exciting.”

Novatech produces many major Adelaide-based entertainment events, including the Clipsal 500, Carols by Candlelight, Big Day Out Adelaide and Soundwave Festival.
Interstate they have been involved with the Darwin Festival and SupaFest, and have delivered events for Coca-Cola and Mitsubishi.

The Fringe Parade takes place at 8pm on Friday 24 February and runs for one hour.
