What are you planning to do?
*
e.g. Make a giant green grasshopper
How are you planning to do it?
*
e.g. Using mesh and paper mache we will build a 3 x 1.2m insect and mount it onto a trailer. We will be towing the trailer with a Pajero
Are there any hazards?
*
e.g. Yes. The grasshopper has sharp feelers that wobble around and we will be putting 4 people on the trailer with it.
How are you planning to make this safe?
*
e.g. The 4 people will be sitting down, chairs will be fixed. The sharp feelers will have foam on their ends.
How will you be communicating with everyone in your group. Are they aware of what they will be doing?
*
e.g. We meet every week and speak on the phone. Our 4 performers are aware and comfortable that they will be travelling in the trailer next to a grasshopper.
Will you be using anything else to prepare your float on the day? Please note, in most cases you will need to provide this yourselves.
e.g. A ladder, power
