Michelle is a Canadian stand-up comedian who unexpectedly fell into the world of comedy. She went to University and worked full-time, and one day she was brought into the lunch room and was laid-off. The company was closing their Ontario office, and she was out of a job! She thought, if you can be disappointed while being practical, why not struggle at doing something you love? She used her severance package to do the one thing she had never done before, take classes in something purely for pleasure. That led her to Second City, where she enjoyed the freedom of taking to the stage, and found her calling.
