Appassionata
Appassionata is known to be Beethoven's bleakest and darkest work. The finale was said to be the "devil's laughter in the face of ultimate damnation." But Shakti's dance leads us from birth, life to death, the ultimate climax of life. Music played by pianist, Riccardo Barone.

Shakti is Sanskrit for "energy"; creative energy and sexual energy.
Her dance is centered towards the activation of this energy.
The two opposite forces of life/death, creation/destruction, chaos/serenity, plus/minus are played in a neverending game.
Shakti is a lover of nature. She spends her time in the wild outback of Australia with her husband, Jorg, where she gets her energy and her inspiration to create and to live. She is a creature of the wild and it is evident in her dance.
No borders. No boundaries. Only passion.
Born in Japan to an Indian father who taught her yoga and a Japanese mother who taught her dance, Shakti grew up in the 2 cultures. She received her MA in Columbia University, New York where she majored in Indian Philosophy which is the basis of her dance.
