Palmer Sculpture Biennial

• Sculpture
The eighth Palmer Sculpture Biennial presents works by sculptors from around Australia and overseas. Sculptors and visitors engage with the unique Australian blue sky, wonderful cloudscapes, never ending horizons and a pristine landscape. A huge contrast to the white walls of a gallery.
The sculptors can choose how their works interact with the natural setting. The exhibition does not aim to be the largest in Australia, but rather to establish a reputation based on quality, innovation, change, and broad based discussion. Visitors stroll across the four hundred acres, slowly viewing the sculptures and landscape, stopping to enjoy conversation, picnic lunches and the opening day music.
This event continues on weekends 11 to 5.30 & Wednesdays 2 to 5.30 until April 15th.

Presented by: Palmer Sculpture Biennial

Greg Johns is a south Australian sculptor whos works are well known in Australia and overseas. Greg founded the Palmer Sculpture Landscape in 2001 as a venue for the display of contemporary sculpture in an awe inspiring Australian environment which is undergoing regeneration to return it to its pre-European state. The Palmer Sculpture Biennial has now become a world class event, unique in its emphasis on the counterpoint between art and place.

People who for any reason find the prospect of walking through the Palmer Landscape daunting need only ask and they will be driven around the Biennial in a 4WD vehicle.
