Roll up, roll up! Have a guess in this year's Adelaide Jellybean Counting Competition. The Bean Counter is here and ready to count. Will you win? A charming character comedy about an Official with some unusual counting methods. A fun, thoughtful piece about how seriously we take competitions from a 'jawbreakingly hilarious' (Rip It Up) clown.

Presented by:
Alice Mary Cooper

Alice Mary Cooper is an Edinburgh based actor, clown and theatre-maker. She is an Associate Artist with Imaginate and graduate of L’Ecole Philippe Gaulier (Paris). Alice devises and performs performance works with a strong character and physical focus. She collaborates with other artists to make work for all ages. To date she has made several solo shows, Waves (‘a miniaturist gem’ The Observer), The Box (a commission from Harlow Playhouse, UK) and When Alice (Cooper) met (Prince) Harry (a ‘Must See’ The Stage). She is currently devising two new shows, Blue Cow, a solo piece exploring land contamination and climate change and Puffin, a show for young people.

La Boheme

For years La Bohème has worked to provide an intimate and professional environment for all manner of independent performers, establishing a reputation as Adelaide's home of cabaret. There are two options for performance spaces, the Main Stage (Main Room) and Cabinet Room (Upstairs). The Main Room can comfortably seat 60 patrons and is one of the busiest single room venues throughout the Adelaide Fringe and home to the Cabaret Fringe Festival. The main room is fully equipped with professional sound tech and lighting, along with a professional tech, front of house staff and bar team. This is required to ensure premium quality and security of the venue, unless prior negotiations or an exception of regular or multiple performances is in place. The Cabinet Room offers similar features (with minimal lighting options) and is the perfect space for 40 seated patrons.
