An Actress stands at the top of the 50 foot 'H', looking down on a city of broken dreams. She has only ever wanted one thing: to be a star. A new play with music about the quest for fame, inspired by the secrets & forgotten histories of Hollywood's Golden Age.


'The Girl Who Jumped Off The Hollywood Sign' includes songs performed by Hollywood's greatest movie stars - Judy Garland, Marilyn Monroe, Jean Harlow and more.

Joanne has performed and produced in the Adelaide Fringe for 11 years. She has brought many international companies to Adelaide to showcase their productions and, as a practitioner appearing on international platforms including Edinburgh and New York, Joanne has proudly promoted the quality of theatre and artists coming from South Australia. She was last seen onstage in Waxing Lyrical's 2016 production of 'The Storm'. Previous performance credits include: 'Oleanna', 'Misery', 'Deadline Gallipoli', 'Changed Forever' and 'Molly's Shoes'.
Joanne was the Artistic Director of The Queens Theatre in the 2016 Adelaide Fringe and produced 11 shows - 'The Bunker Trilogy', The Flanagan Collective, 'Thom Pain' (based on nothing), 'A Minute In The Schoolyard', 'Under Milk Wood', '"Just let the wind untie my perfumed hair..." or Who Is Tahirih?' and 'What Would Spock Do?'
Joanne is presenting 8 shows in the 2017 Adelaide Fringe and is Artistic Director of the Noel Lothian Hall's Black Box Studio.
