How do I get my tickets?

Purchasing your tickets
Once tickets are on sale, you can purchase your tickets directly through our website or by calling 1300 621 255. Alternatively, you can visit our FringeTIX Box Offices during the festival season.

Check your email!
Your order confirmation / tax invoice will be sent straight to your inbox and will contain a QR code – this is your e-ticket. All Fringe venues will accept your digital confirmation for proof of entry. If you have booked multiple seats or performances in one order, you will be admitted using the same e-ticket. Lumo Energy SA is the official Ticketing Partner for Adelaide Fringe.

What is the difference between Dress Circle and Stalls?

Stalls are ground level seating – the bottom tier of an auditorium, closest to the stage and the action!

The Dress Circle is the balcony or mezzanine above the stalls.

Can I get an exchange or refund?

We may be able to offer exchanges for your tickets up to 24 hours before a performance, if you meet the terms and conditions for an exchange. All exchanges incur a $10 exchange fee. We do not offer refunds on tickets, vouchers, Memberships or merchandise.

Please check out our refund and exchange policy in our terms and conditions to find out more.

Are seats General Admission or Reserved?

Most Adelaide Fringe events do not have allocated seating and therefore are general admission.

If your event is at an allocated seating venue, the system will auto generate the next best available seat for you.

Don't want to sit in the seat the system is generating you? Give us a call and we will do our best to give you the seat you are after!

Age Suitability

How can I check the age suitability of a show so that I can take my children?

We will do our best to provide you with warnings about show content and age suitability, where the artist or presenter has passed that information onto us. Artists self-rate their shows, and as we are an open access festival, we can’t guarantee the content and suitability. Please use your discretion when determining suitability for your child, as there will be no exchanges or refunds on tickets purchased.

Audience Suitability Ratings

G - Suitable for all ages
PG - Parental guidance recommended
M - Recommended for audiences 15 years and over
MA15+ - Restricted to 15 years and over
18+ - Restricted to 18 years and over

All events are self-rated. Adelaide Fringe is not liable for any incorrect rating.

Do I need to buy a ticket for my child?

For most Adelaide Fringe shows, children aged 24 months and younger can attend Fringe events without a ticket, provided they do not take up a seat of their own. Some children's events may require an infant (aged 24 months or younger) to have a ticket. This information will be provided on their event listing.

General Troubleshooting

My computer crashed while I was trying to book! How do I know if my payment went through?
Please contact FringeTIX® on 1300 621 255 and we can assist you. If your payment has not gone through, we’re happy to help you book your tickets over the phone. Please note, we do not offer refunds for duplicate bookings, so it's always best to check.

I can’t navigate to the Adelaide Fringe website. How long will it be down for?
It’s probably just a glitch and we’ll have everything back up and running very soon. In the meantime, please call FringeTIX® on 1300 621 255 and we can assist with your booking and/or enquiry.

I’m having trouble logging into my account online. Can you help?
Please call FringeTIX® on 1300 621 255 and we can have a look at why you might be having trouble logging in. We can also help you with any enquiries relating to your bookings. If you’ve already booked tickets to this Fringe and forgotten your password, you’ll need to have it reset and emailed to you, you can do this online.

I can’t browse on my mobile device. Is there a problem with the site or is it my phone?
Please call FringeTIX® on 1300 621 255 and we will assist with your booking and/or enquiry. To assist us in identifying and resolving problems please email customerservice@adelaidefringe.com.au with the details of the problem you experienced – including what make and model your mobile device is, what software version you are running, what you were doing at the time of the problem, and any screenshots you were able to capture.

I need to pay for my purchase using more than one voucher or credit card. Can I do this on the mobile site?
Split payments can only be made on our desktop website, or over the phone on 1300 621 255.

My session timed out, but I need to buy lots of tickets—help!
Your cart will expire 15 minutes after you last updated your cart. We suggest you use the Fringe Favourites tool to save a short list of your tickets while you are finding the shows you want, and then add them to your cart at the end. Alternatively, if you know the shows, dates, times and number of people attending, call FringeTIX® on 1300 621 255 or visit one of our outlets, and we’ll be able to assist you with the purchase.

I entered my payment details and nothing happened. How do I know if I’ve been charged or my tickets have been booked?
Please call FringeTIX® on 1300 621 255 as soon as you can and we will check if your payment has been processed and your tickets booked. Please don’t attempt to purchase again, as it may result in a double charge to your credit card, which we will not offer a refund for.

What does allocation exhausted mean?
Allocation exhausted means the show has sold out, or that the ticket type you have selected is no longer available. Must have been a popular choice! Don’t worry there are plenty of others for you to see.

Tell me about e-ticketing!

What is an e-ticket?
An e-ticket (electronic ticket) is the digital equivalent of a paper ticket, and a more efficient method of ticket entry. A QR code will be displayed in your order confirmation which will be emailed to you after you purchase your tickets. Some venues will be scanning your QR code and other venues will continue to mark you off a door list or issue you with a raffle-style ticket once you get to the venue. Basically, your order confirmation / tax invoice email will suffice as your ticket and you won't need to queue for collection! Lumo Energy SA is the official Ticketing Partner for Adelaide Fringe.

Do I have to e-ticket?
Yes! In 2019, Adelaide Fringe introduced e-ticketing for the first time and each year we have continued to reduce the amount of physical tickets as we progress further into a digital world. In alignment with our sustainability practices, Adelaide Fringe will be a paperless festival with E-tickets being our standard option. Lumo Energy SA is the official Ticketing Partner for Adelaide Fringe.

What if I can’t access the emailed e-ticket?
You can access your QR code by logging into your MyFringe account and finding your QR code in the My Orders section of your account. You can also call us on 08 8100 2000 or email us at customerservice@adelaidefringe.com.au and we can resend your email.

Am I able to transfer my e-ticket to a friend if I choose not to attend?
If so, how would I give/ transfer my ticket to my friend? You can forward your e-ticket on but keep in mind if you have purchased multiple tickets in one transaction, the QR code will allow anyone with the QR code entry to all shows in the transaction.

Will I need any form of identification with the e-ticket?
It is handy to carry your ID on you at all times. Venues will ask to sight your applicable form of ID if you have purchased a concession ticket and some venues will need to sight ID for their Liquor Licence requirements.

How fast is the transaction? How close to a show's start time can I book?
The transaction is instant. You can book up until the show starts at selected venues. This means that you can be standing at a venue and buy a ticket without having to visit a Box Office!

There are some events that are durational in nature, that allow you to book after the start time.

Do you need to have a smartphone or can I use any device that has access to my emails?
You can use any device that has access to your email/screenshot of your order confirmation so that we can sight the booking information or QR code.

What if I delete my email or the email doesn't arrive?
Always check your junk folder if you don't think you have received an email from us. If the email doesn't arrive or you accidentally delete your email, never fear! You can access your QR code by logging into your MyFringe account and finding your QR code in the My Orders section of your account. You can also call us on 08 8100 2000 and we can resend your email.

When is the next Adelaide Fringe?

Adelaide Fringe 2025 will be held from Friday 21 February to Sunday 23 March 2025.

Where is Adelaide Fringe?

Adelaide Fringe takes place in more than 500 venues across South Australia, from the Adelaide CBD and suburbs, to regional areas spanning Whyalla in the West all the way over to Naracoorte in the East. As Adelaide Fringe is an open access festival, we do not run or operate these venues. Interested in registering a venue for Adelaide Fringe? Venue registrations will open in July/August. Where can I get a Fringe Guide?

The next Official Fringe Guide will be available early 2025.

The 2024 Official Fringe Guide can still be viewed here.

Can you send me a printed copy of the Fringe Guide?

Yes, we can! Please visit our Merchandise store, the guide is free but you will need to pay postage.

Can I get into a venue without a ticket?

Most Fringe shows require a ticket for entry. Some venues may have areas accessible to the general public, without a ticket. However, for the full Fringe experience, we strongly encourage you to buy a ticket to the show of your choice and spend the evening at the venue enjoying the show (or shows!) food, wine and hospitality on offer at the venue.

The best way to plan your night is to use our Daily Diary, you can filter by the date you want to go out, filter by the venue of your choice and browse all events by time. The Daily Diary will be available when the 2025 Program launches.

Can you sponsor my event or donate to my fundraiser?

Unfortunately we are not able to sponsor your event, organisation or fundraiser. Adelaide Fringe is a not-for-profit that operates as an umbrella organisation for artists.

As an open-access festival, independent artists pay a fee to be registered in Adelaide Fringe, and use their own funds to stage their productions and/or run their venues. Although Adelaide Fringe retains a small servicing and transaction fee, the majority of the ticket sales income goes directly back to the artists.

Help! I’ve lost something at an Adelaide Fringe venue!

Adelaide Fringe is an open access festival. Every year, hundreds of venues all over the state register to be a part of Fringe; all of these venues are independently run. If you've lost something at a Fringe venue, you will need to contact that venue directly. Venue contact information can be found on our website by using the venue search option.

How do I apply to have a stall at next year’s Fringe?

Adelaide Fringe is an open access arts festival; we don’t run our own venues and, therefore, don’t coordinate any stalls for catering or goods for sale.

Venues make their own arrangements for stalls and catering. If you're interested in having a stall at a Fringe venue, you will need to contact that venue directly.

How do I enable location services for Safari on my Apple device?

To ensure our website can access your location information through Safari, follow these steps:

  1. Open your device's Settings app.
Navigate to your home screen and tap on the "Settings" icon.
  2. Scroll down and tap on "Privacy."
Here, you'll find various privacy settings for your device.
  3. Tap on "Location Services."
Ensure that Location Services is turned on. If it's off, toggle the switch to enable it.
  4. Scroll down to find "Safari Websites" and tap on it.
This will show you the settings for websites accessed through Safari.
  5. Adjust the permission to "While Using the App" or "Ask Next Time."
This setting allows Safari to access your location when you are using the app or prompts you each time a website requests your location.
  6. Return to our website and try the "Show Near You" feature again.
A prompt should appear asking for location access; select "Allow" to proceed.

Does my Fringe Membership give me discounts/express entry to The Garden of Unearthly Delights or Gluttony?

Although the Garden of Unearthly Delights and Gluttony are synonymous with Fringe, they are run completely independently of Fringe!

Like the hundreds of other wonderful venues around the state that host our Fringe goers (you!), we do not own or run them, and therefore cannot offer any discounts on their products.

What you might know is that having a ticket to a show at The Garden or Gluttony WILL get you express entry into those respective venues. So go ahead and support the artists that make this festival come alive and get your tix for entry!

What is the Fringe Member discount on Fringe tickets?

Fringe Fanatics have access to 2for1 tix to all participating Fringe shows that are offering the 2for1 Membership deal. Standard Members have access to five 2for1 tix.
If you want to purchase FringeTIX that offer 2for1 tix to members, make sure you're logged in to your MyFringe and the discount will automatically apply to up to two (2) Full Price tickets.

Click here to sign into your MyFringe account and get the most of your membership.

Please note: the discount is deducted from the ticket price and excludes the transaction fee. Discount is available on full price tickets only and is subject to availability. Once you redeem a 2for1 ticket offer to a specific event they cannot book another 2for1 ticket for that same event. For all other terms and conditions regarding Membership and the 2for1 ticket offer click here.

Do I get access to the Fringe Club by being a Fringe Member/Fringe Fanatic?

To ensure we are supporting our Fringe venues and the hospitality industry in the best way, Adelaide Fringe will no longer be operating the Fringe Club.
Through our Membership program we are working with participating venues to provide Members offers and deals to encourage a vibrant nightlife during Fringe and we encourage our Members to support our local hospitality industry.
We hope you can understand this decision and can help support South Australian venues far and wide.

How do I prove I'm a member?

We are able to look you up at the Box Office when you purchase your tickets, or you can access your digital membership card in your MyFringe account. To do this, head to MyFringe page in your MyFringe account, click 'My Details' and then click 'Show membership card'.

Can I gift a membership to my family and friends?

You sure can! Your loved ones will be stoked with a year full of magical Fringe-ness, and hey, they might even shout you a discounted ticket or two to thank you for it.

Gift Memberships can be purchased here.

I've been gifted a membership! How do I redeem it?

Lucky you!
Redeem your Fringe Membership during the festival using the voucher code by calling 1300 621 255, or online. To redeem it online, simply click here, add the membership you want to your cart and then by provide the voucher code number at the checkout. Easy as pie!
Please note: if you redeem your gift membership online, it will incur a $4.80 transaction fee.

Do Fringe Member benefits apply to my partner and family as well?

During Fringe, you can buy up one lot of 2for1 tix per participating event (unless otherwise stipulated). So if you're going out for date night, you get two tickets for the price of one!
However, if your partner or other family members want to access all of the awesome member benefits, they'll need to purchase their own membership.

Lumo Flash Sale

What is Flash Sale?

The flash sale will take place on Tuesday 16 January for one day only or until allocation is exhausted. Customers can get $5 off hundreds of Fringe shows thanks to Lumo Energy SA.

I tried to purchase Flash Sale tickets and all of the shows I want are not offering Flash Sale tickets?

The Flash Sale is on participating shows and sessions for the Fringe 2024 season and is valid on full price tickets on Tuesday 16 January 2024 (or until allocation has been exhausted). If the show you are after is not offering Flash Sale tickets, you can search for similar shows using the genre functionality. Alternatively, the show you are after may be offering other discounts such as preview price tickets, Midweek Treat discounts or 2for1 Fringe Member tickets.

Why do you keep advertising the sale when it is sold out?

From time to time some of our ads will take a couple of hours to update. We do try to amend all advertising as soon as there is a change. While you have missed out on the Flash Sale, there are other ways which you can get bargains at Fringe. Shows often have preview shows which come with a discounted ticket price, you can also look for Midweek Treat ticket types for shows on Wednesday, or consider becoming a Fringe Member to access 2for1 tickets to participating Fringe shows.
