Grand Delusions - Kid Dingo

Cabaret • Music
World Premiere
A sophisticated twenty-three year old grand piano is far from impressed. She has been purchased by the parents of a precocious eight year old in the heartland of suburban mediocrity. Her sentience apparently unrecognised by her sticky little overlord, she is subjected to countless humiliating renditions of Delta Goodrem's "Innocent Eyes" and Shannon Noll's "What about me?".

But of course, children grow up, piano practice becomes neglected, and runners up in Australian reality TV shows end careers by head-butting bouncers outside The Crazy Horse. If she does not wish to fall into disuse, this piano will need to learn to make friends with her master.

Told through the songs of Perth based rapper-songwriter Kid Dingo, this is a story of growing up, self love, and identity.
