Arts Unlimited raises funds to support artists, venues, producers and marginalised communities to participate in Adelaide Fringe. A large portion of the funds are distributed as grants via the Fringe Fund, which exists to support bold ideas, elevate diverse voices and encourage innovation.

Grant applications for Adelaide Fringe 2026 have closed.

First implemented in 2015, the Fringe Fund has distributed more than 750 grants since its inception and is responsible for propelling forward artists such as Gravity & Other Myths, Michaela Burger and Casus Circus, venues like Goodwood Theatre and Studios and Rhino Room, and producers such as Peta Spurling Brown and Joanne Hartstone.

Fringe Fund grants are possible thanks to the generous support of the Government of South Australia and Arts Unlimited donors and supporters.

Previous Grant Recipients

“As an International independent artist, securing the Fringe Fund felt like having a huge pillar of support just holding you up, every time you felt like you were going to fall. It gave me the inspiration to push harder and do the best I could, as I had people believing in me. My first time performing in Australia felt very welcoming and definitely will be back for more. This is only the first step forward.” - Vibhinna Ramdev ‘Why English? - Layers beneath the language!

“Bloom wouldn’t have happened without this grant. The show was created and performed by young people from across South Australia through a learning program run by Hive Inspire Incorporated. For some, it was their first time on stage, for others it was their first time acting as directors, choreographers or musical directors. With mentoring from industry professionals, enabled as a result of Arts Unlimited, The Adelaide Fringe Foundation they were supported to develop their skills and collaborate to create an original, moving show that told their stories, their way”. - Hive Inspire Incorporated, ‘Bloom’

“The support we receive through the Fringe Fund and Arts Unlimited is invaluable—it fuels creativity, strengthens artistic careers, and ensures that independent artists have the resources they need to connect, inspire, and leave a lasting impact on audiences and the wider arts community” - Simone Avramidis, Goodwood Theatre Studios.

"It was great to have that early support and know that there was interest in Aboriginal theatre. My play attracted the attention of an investor who is in discussions with me in relation to potentially developing another play further with a view to international travel." - Jannali Jones, ‘Trail’s End’
