Moot Court Trial of Martin Bryant

Theatre and Physical Theatre • Social Change

Free admission.

Thousands of Aussies have signed petitions for Tasmania to hold an Inquest about the 1996 Port Arthur massacre. The convicted person, Martin Bryant, never had a trial. See the free download of "Port Arthur: Enough Is Enough" at GumshoeNews.com. The co-author of that book Mary W Maxwell, LLB presented a moot court trial of Martin Bryant at the 2016 Melbourne Fringe. For the Adelaide show we will add some new features.
If you wish to audition for a part, and we hope you do, please contact Mary at ProsecutionForTreason.com. Performance is on the Ides of March at 3pm. Lots of parking space at Burnside Library, corner of Greenhill Road and Portrush Road. Or take the 147 Beaumont bus and get off at Stop 10. This is an unticketed event.

Note: Our venue is the Hall, not the Ballroom.

I am a graduate of Adelaide Law School and author of many books including "Fraud Upon the Court: Reclaiming the Law, Joyfully," and co-author with Dee McLachlan of two recent books: "Truth in Journalism" and "Port Arthur: Enough Is Enough." She and I performed "Puppetry of the Watermelons" at the 2015 Adelaide Fringe, and "A Pardoner's Tale for Our Era" at the 2016 Adelaide Fringe. We "trialled" the Martin Bryant trial at the 2016 Melbourne Fringe, as part of our show "Podstava." We write every day for GumshoeNews.com.
