Part Judith Lucy, part Dusty Springfield, Alison has been in love with music ever since she was a little girl.
With a wide-ranging love of musical styles, she draws on musical theatre, jazz and popular music in her self-written cabaret shows. Alison is a warm performer and has a natural connection with her audiences.
Alison was lucky enough to participate in the Cabaret Summer School in 2012 and performed in Kabarett at the Cabaret Fringe Festival later that year.
Alison divulged her love of daggy music at the Cabaret Fringe Festival 2013 and Adelaide Fringe Festival 2014, with her show ‘Musical Skeletons in My Closet’. Adelaide embraced her guilty secret, selling out all performances.
After highly successful seasons of her second cabaret show ‘Loveaholic’, about her addiction to love at the Adelaide Fringe and Cabaret Under the Star in 2015, Alison returns to Adelaide Fringe in 2017 for another season of ‘Musical Skeletons in My Closet’.
