Scaled hands for fringe program
While everyone else is shooting the obvious, Susan Belperio points her camera in the opposite direction. Her photographic pot-pourri takes you through a life focused on finding the extraordinary in the ordinary, the surreal in the real, and the beauty in the plain.
'Well taken and effective, provoking us to think rather than react... to the point where the message sneaks up and surprises us' -- Brisbane Courier Mail.
'The fine work by an emerging talent in the photographic world... is shown to exquisite quality in this totally Territorian production' -- Northern Territory Minister for Tourism, The Hon Roger Vale.
'Susan's photo-artistry breathes new life into an ancient landscape. Her ability to capture the innate beauty of this timeless land is magnificently portrayed' -- InHouse Publications.

Presented by:
Susan Belperio

Whilst balancing work as a specialist medical professional, Susan Belperio was juggling an exciting nascent photography career. She exhibited extensively across Queensland and the Northern Territory, receiving multiple awards and acceptances, including an acquisition in the Araluen Gallery permanent collection (Alice Springs). She held a successful solo exhibition "Mango Madness", which encapsulated her time spent in the Top End, and also produced "Top Shots" – the 1990 calendar for InHouse Publications. Then she had three sons.
Now after a long hiatus, Susan is back with a vengeance. To make up for lost time on the exhibition circuit, she has collated her best images from recent times, with a few old favourites.
