Founded in 1999, Lumina specializes in discovering and performing music that is rarely heard. Ranging from Mediæval gems to masterpieces of the Renaissance and later, Lumina has also established a niche nurturing Australian composers, including performing dozens of world premieres.
Based in Adelaide, Lumina has developed an international following via recordings and the internet. With five physical and two electronic CDs published, & over 180 tracks available online, Lumina is listened to by hundreds of people every day & has over a million views on YouTube. Medieval music is particularly popular but contemporary Australian music also gets steady exposure. Lumina is committed to sharing wonderful music with the world, seeking out moments of magic & challenging listeners with new ideas.

Burnside Ballroom

The State heritage listed Burnside Ballroom offers a unique and charming atmosphere to enhance a variety of functions and events. The Department of Environment and Heritage (formerly Heritage SA) rates the Ballroom as "an excellent example of a 1950's interior demonstrating characteristics of a modernist design. There are no other known examples of this style of interior intact." The Burnside Ballroom offers a spacious ground floor and mezzanine level, two bar areas (one upstairs and one downstairs), and a well equipped kitchen. The venue also features a stage and seating booths and tables along the eastern and western walls. Chairs and trestle tables can also be supplied.
