Cardinal Sins
Comedian Frank Hampster was unfortunate to have gone to Catholic School in Ballarat, Victoria. Eleven of his teachers and priests have done jail time as a result of their ‘teaching style’.
Frank recently emerged from testifying at the Royal Commission into
Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse. As you do, he proceeded
to write a comedy show about it. After an acclaimed run at the Melbourne
International Comedy Festival, Frank brings 'Cardinal Sins' to Adelaide
for the first time. In it he tells some hilarious tales from the
Commission and their attempt to force Cardinal George Pell back to
Australia to face the music.
Frank also reveals the ‘How and Why’
of the hideous cover-up that led to the Commission, through jokes and
impressions of what it was like to grow up in Ballarat under the control
of the world’s largest paedophile ring.
