Marvellous Music at Mary Mags

Australian Premiere

As part of its mission in the City of Adelaide, St Mary Magdalene's opens up the church to the wider community during the Fringe with a series of concerts that showcase "Marvellous Music" from across the generations.

In 2017, we'll welcome fast-rising singer and multi-instrumentalist Matthew Lykos, "The singer in the great shirt" (2 March); a reunion performance by the Cecilian Singers, one of Adelaide's finest sacred music ensembles in the 1990s, joined by members of the St Mary Magdalene's Choir (5 March); the celebrated Corinthian Singers (8 March); and Michele de Courcy and Peter Deane with German and French Romantic songs (12 March).

All this in the perfect acoustic of St Mary Magdalene's Church, one of the city's most historic churches, and an architectural and visual delight for the senses. Mary Mags is wheelchair accessible and also air-conditioned!
